COOKIE POLICY
ARTICLE 1. What is a cookie or tracker?
A cookie is a small file stored by a server on a user's terminal (computer, telephone, etc.) and associated with a web domain (i.e. in most cases, with all the pages of a single website). This file is automatically sent back when the user contacts the same domain again.
The term "tracer" refers to an identifier recorded on your terminal, without the intervention of your browser software, and likely to be emitted by your terminal and read by a technical service provider to which your terminal is connected, without this identifier itself having been deposited on your terminal by this service provider.
Cookies or tracers have many uses: they can be used to memorize your customer ID with a merchant site, the language in which the web page is displayed, an identifier enabling your browsing to be tracked for statistical or advertising purposes, etc. Some of these uses are strictly necessary for the functions expressly requested by the user, or to establish communication and are therefore exempt from consent. Some of these uses are strictly necessary for the functionalities expressly requested by the user, or to establish communication, and are therefore exempt from consent. Others, which do not correspond to these criteria, require the user's consent before reading or writing.
The distinction between "third-party" and "first-party" cookies is a technical one. When a user visits a website, he is in practice consulting a "domain" which generally ends with a .com extension (for example, delupay.com is a domain), and content may be transmitted from the domain he is visiting, or via other domains which he has not entered himself, and which belong to third parties. In fact, each cookie is associated with a domain and is sent or received each time the browser "calls" that domain.
In practice :
- Internal" cookies are deposited by the site consulted by the user, more specifically on the site's domain. They may be used to ensure that the site functions properly or to collect personal data in order to track user behavior and serve advertising purposes;
- Third-party" cookies are cookies deposited on domains other than that of the main site, generally managed by third parties who have been asked to do so by the site visited and not by the user himself: these cookies may also be necessary for the site to function properly, but their main purpose is to enable the third party to see which pages have been visited on the site in question by a user, and to collect information about him, notably for advertising purposes.
Whether cookies are "internal" or "third-party" is a technical distinction that has no bearing on whether or not consent is required. In practice, the vast majority of "third-party" cookies have purposes that require consent (e.g. advertising), but we can also find "third-party" cookies that are indeed strictly necessary for a functionality expressly requested by the user and therefore exempt from consent.
ARTICLE 2: Are cookies deposited when you browse our sites?
On your first visit to the website or merchant application, a banner informs you of the presence of these cookies and invites you to indicate your choice. Cookies requiring your consent in accordance with regulations are deposited only if you accept them. You can inform yourself at any time and configure your cookies to accept or reject them.
ARTICLE 3 What data is collected through cookies?
Cookies can be used to collect all data relating to a terminal at a given time, in particular :
- One or more technical identifiers identifying your IP address
- Date, time and duration of connection ;
- The Internet address of the page from which the terminal accessing the Website originates;
- Terminal operating system type (e.g. Windows, MacOs, Linux, Unix, etc.) ;
- The type and version of browser software used by the terminal (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, etc.);
- Make and model of mobile terminal or tablet ;
- Possible download errors ;
- The language of the browser software used by the terminal;
- The characteristics of content viewed and shared.
ARTICLE 4: What are the purposes of the cookies collected?
We may use different types of cookies for different purposes:
- Cookies required to personalize and operate the website: they enable you to use the site's main functionalities, and in particular to record information between two visits to the site on the same device, to record session connection identifiers and to personalize the interface (choice of language or presentation). They do not require your prior consent. These cookies are essential for the proper operation of the Site. If you refuse to accept cookies on your terminal or browser, or if you delete cookies stored on your terminal or browser, you will be informed that your browsing and experience on the Site may be limited.
- Analytical, statistical or website audience measurement cookies enable us to understand the use and audience performance of the site and to improve its operation for our visitors. For example, they enable us to compile statistics and volumes on the number of visitors to and use of the various elements that make up the site (sections and content visited, path taken), in order to improve the interest and ergonomics of the site.
- Social network cookies are set by social networks when you share content from our Sites with others or let them know what you think about this content via an application button. These cookies are deposited only when you have expressly consented to them via the banner displayed when you first connect. We have no control over the process used by these social networks to collect information relating to your browsing on our sites and associated Personal Data they hold. We invite you to consult their data protection policies to find out about your rights in relation to each of them, and to manage your privacy settings.
- Advertising cookies, which enable us to choose in real time which advertisements to display on third-party sites. These cookies are deposited only when you have expressly consented to them via the banner displayed when you first log on.
